CMC — Carboxymethyl Cellulose
Cellulose ether used as a fluid-loss additive and viscosifier in water-based drilling fluids, available in LV and HV grades.
Application
Freshwater and low-to-medium salinity water-based muds. Grade selection depends on required viscosity, filtration control and salt tolerance.
