PAC-HV
PAC HV — Polyanionic Cellulose, High Viscosity
High-viscosity PAC providing both fluid-loss control and additional viscosity in water-based drilling muds.
Application
Water-based mud systems where combined filtration control and rheology contribution are required. Selection versus PAC LV depends on target PV/YP and API fluid loss.
Technical characteristics (quality certificate)
Typical values as stated on a mill quality certificate (passport) for a standard commercial grade. Actual lot values are confirmed in the COA / TDS for the selected manufacturer.
API fluid loss (max)
Per functional class / grade
API RP 13B-2 / API 13A
Apparent viscosity (min)
≥ 50 mPa·s (HV grade)
API 13A / ISO 13500
Yield / viscosity build
Higher than PAC LV
API RP 13I
Loss on drying
≤ 10%
API 13A / Manufacturer TDS
