NaOH

Caustic Soda — Sodium Hydroxide NaOH

Strong alkali for pH control in water-based drilling fluids. Handled as a hazardous corrosive substance.

Application

pH and Pm/Pf control in water-based muds. Supplied as pearls, flakes or solution depending on logistics and HSE constraints at the wellsite or plant.

Technical characteristics (quality certificate)

Typical values as stated on a mill quality certificate (passport) for a standard commercial grade. Actual lot values are confirmed in the COA / TDS for the selected manufacturer.
